Poinsettias are red, violets are blue...




Before you guys go and complain that a rose has the most "perfect red color", I had looked at a bright red rose under the microscope and the results astounded me: there were red, and BLACK cells all mixed together (Will be shown in another post).

Now poinsettias, if you don't know already, are used mainly for the Christmas holiday because of its bright red color. When I had a poinsettia at my house, I decided to look under it to see if the flower was truly pure red. 

As seen in these pictures, I wasn't wrong. Every single cell had the same red tone that displayed the bright color when viewed through the naked eye.
